Yesterday I talked about 5 steps to increase your influence in your Internet marketing.

So, today I want to share 5 more steps that you can use to increase your influence in the online marketing arena.

So let’s get right to it.

1) Go the Extra Mile

Most people today just want to do the minimum or as little as possible to get by.  But who wants to follow somebody who does that?

By going the extra mile you will reveal to others that you want to do what it takes to succeed regardless of how hard it is or if it takes more work.  People will respect that and respond to it by letting you lead them. 

 2) Be Known as the “Go To Guy”

The “go-to-guy” is the person you go to when you need something done and want to know it will get done.  This is precisely who you want to be.

People want to know that when they request somebody to do something, they will do it and do it well, and in some cases will even go the extra mile

By being that person, people will start to rely on you, and then trust you, then respect you, and then listen to what you have to say.  Thus you will have influence in their lives.

3) Be Generous

Give, give, and give some extra.  This means your time, talent, resources, and money.  Don’t be stingy with any of those because people will notice if you are.

When you are willing to give of yourself, people take notice of your giving spirit.  They recognize that you are not all about yourself and that you want to assist others.

You will see, that when you are generous, both those you assist, and those that see you doing so will start to allow you to lead them.

4) Know More Than Others, But Don’t Be a Know-It-All

everybody should follow somebody who knows more than them, but no one should follow someone who ”knows” he is always correct.

Make sure that you can teach those that are following you.  This will mean that you needs to continue to learn yourself and pass on your new wisdom and insight to everyone you lead.  Followers always are looking to learn from their leaders.

Be careful here though and don’t come across like you know everything and that you are always right.  Always respect and value other thoughts, and when you are not correct, don’t be scared to say so.

5) Deliver the Goods and Get the Job Done

In the end, people want to see results.  If you say you are going to do something, do it.  Do every step of it.  And then make sure that you over deliver too.

People are seeking leaders who want to lead them.  A good sign that leader will do that is if they are always “getting the job done.”  So make sure you are doing so.

Well that is the end of the list on how to gain influence.  I recommend that you put these to use right away and do not procrastinate.  The impact that these will have on your business and in your life will be amazing .
