What I do is find deals on things that I know will sell for a profit on ebay. Here are some of the products that I know of that will almost always sell for a profit.

Star Trek items-These always tend to sell very well.

Rotary Telephones-Don’t know why these sell but they do.

FM Converters-People that are restoring classic car need these items so they will sell every time.

My Little Pony-Again another item that don’t why they sell but they do.

Square Dancing Outfits and Accessories-These are great sellers on ebay.

These are a few of the items that I know of that sell very well and can be somewhat easy to get your hands on (excluding Star Trek Items much harder to find). Now I am not one spend my day on some sort of hidden treasure hunts or waking up at dawn on the weekends to beat the other treasure hunters out there. What I do is simple if I pass by a pawn shop or a goodwill I’ll take a few minutes stop in and see if they have any of my known items. If I happen to be going by a junk yard I stop in and ask if they have any items again items that I know sell. Estate sells are another good source but more then likely you will run into a few people doing the same thing you are.

Basically I keep a list of items that I know sell and eye out for those products. I remember one time driving by a pawn shop that was having a half off sell went in and found all 7 seasons of Star Trek The Next Generations sets for 30$ a piece so I bought them all cost me 210$ turned around and sold them on ebay for an average price of 120$ a piece. It was right around a 600$ profit.

Like I said earlier ebay can be a good way to make a little extra income. Just keep up to date on what is selling well and then have an eye out for those items.

I was doing a little reading online today just looking for something to write about and I was coming across so many sites or articles that had tag lines saying things like: “make 1000$ a month right away”, “its so easy to get the extra income you need”, “Join …….. and make 10000$ your first month” or my personal favorite “Check out how I am making extra income every day” then you click on the link and it takes you to a page that has nothing but a bunch of different banner ads on it. With all this junk out there it is easy to see why people think that every extra income opportunity is just that a scam. The truth is there are many honest ways to make extra income online. The trick is weeding your way though all the junk that is out there.

Think about it like this: when you see an ad for a fast food restaurant that has this juicy burger with plump tomatoes and crisp lettuce all resting on the perfect bun do really believe that when you go to that fast food place that your burger is going to look that way? For most of use the answer is no we know that the burger from the ad is injected with juices to make it have the appearance of being juicy the tomato, lettuce, and bun have all been hand picked from hundreds of different samples to they find the perfect ones. In a way this is a scam but most of us know this we know that we are not going to get a burger anywhere close to the one that we saw.

Well it is the same with some of the different advertisements that we see to make extra income. They play on the hope and dreams that people have to basically try and take their money. The real sad thing is it pains me to say some of these things because there are so many great honest way to make extra income online. There are many great ebooks that really teach you, affiliate programs that work, programs that actually help you, and many people out there that are making money online. I know because I am one of those people I am 31 years old and have been able to leave my job and work full time from home and I know many other people that are doing the same things I am and they do work. The thing that you have to do is find a way to look past the hype or the “burger ads” that are out there.

Here are my top tips to avoid the scams

1. Look past the hype ask yourself what are they selling and what am going to get
2. Check into the company/system/product you are thinking about getting, do research, search the product, go to forums and see what people are saying about it there are forums for just about every thing out there.
3. Remember that now matter what you are looking into it is a business venture and 99% of the time extra income does not come over night it takes time to build.
4. Don’t let one sour taste ruin your extra income business. Yes at times you may fall victim to a bad product but that does not mean that every thing is going to be that way.

So is extra income a scam? The answer is no you can make extra income online. That being said it does not mean that there are not scams out there.
